The MahathaRise Charter

Rights for the hands
that feed the world.

Twenty-six farmer rights, adapted from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 1948 and written in plain words. Our promise to every farmer who grows with us, checked with each of them after every harvest.

Our pledge

We are doing our very best to bring these rights to every farmer. We hope to reach them all.

  • 26 farmer rights, in plain words
  • Adapted from the UDHR of 1948
  • Checked after every harvest
Why a Charter

The world's model, shaped for our farmers.

Maareddy Venkata Mohan Reddy studied Human Rights. When he started a farming company, he took the model of the 1948 Declaration and built a charter of rights for the people who grow our crops.

  1. 1948

    The world's model

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights: rights written as clear, numbered articles anyone can read.

  2. Tirupati

    Studied in depth

Our founder's Post-Graduation in Human Rights at Sri Venkateswara University.

  3. MahathaRise

    Shaped for farmers

The same model, given a new structure for the people who grow our crops.

Four articles (asylum, property, voting and pensions) only a government can give, so we left them out. These are promises we are working to deliver. After every harvest we ask each farmer which ones they received.

The 26 rights

Turn the dial. Every right, in plain words.

Each right is a promise we are working to deliver, starting with our pilot farmers in Nandyal. Your written agreement with us sets out the exact terms.

Article 1: Equal Worth, Equal Price

The original · UDHR 1948, Article 1

All people are born free and equal in dignity and rights.

For our farmers

Small farmer or big farmer: the same quality means the same money and the same respect.

How it helps

The same quality earns the same price per kilo, whether the farm is 1 acre or 100 — and every farmer gets the same respect.

How we keep it

A promise, checked after every harvest.

A Charter only matters if it is kept. So every season ends with one simple question to every farmer: which of the 26 rights did you receive?

  • Face to face, after every harvest
  • Recorded on the Sarathi’s Trinetra 1.0 tablet
  • Anything missing is carried to the next season
Bring it home

Bring the Charter to your village.

Twenty-six lights, one for each right we work to keep.

Are you a farmer?

Gather 20 farmers from your village and send a village request. When your village joins, every farmer who grows with us is under all 26 rights of the Charter.

Send a village request

Are you an agriculture graduate?

Become the Grama Sarathi of your villages: the one who carries the Charter to every farmer, season after season.

Become a Grama Sarathi

Our pilot runs in Nandyal with one crop, turmeric. New villages and more crops join from the next season.
