Project Sanjaya

Our farmer programme, which sees every field and tells the truth of it.

In the Mahabharata, Sanjaya was given the gift of divine sight. He saw everything that happened on the battlefield and told the king every detail, truly, as it happened.

Project Sanjaya does the same for our farms. It sees every step in the field and passes that truth on, to our company and to you. Two parts run under it: the Grama Sarathis who are in the field, and Trinetra 1.0 which writes everything down.

What runs under Project Sanjaya

Our people in the field

Grama Sarathi

Main role

The eyes and hands of Project Sanjaya in every village.

An agriculture graduate from a farming family, working in the villages they call home
Walks beside the farmers through the whole season, from land preparation to harvest
Brings the guidance of our scientists, on seeds and bio-inputs, to the farmer’s own field
Records every stage on a field tablet, using Trinetra 1.0
After the harvest, sits with each farmer for the Charter survey

Read the Grama Sarathi diaries

The written record

Trinetra 1.0

Main role

The record of every harvest, from the soil to the sealed pack.

Every batch gets its own digital record, and one scan of its code opens the whole journey
Each stage is recorded with photos, a place and a date
Links every harvest to its farmer and its field
Every upload from the field is checked by our Traceability Commanders before it joins the record

Read the Trinetra updates

The Grama Sarathi sees it. Trinetra 1.0 writes it down. You can read the truth of it.

Our pilot runs in Nandyal with one crop, turmeric. New villages and more crops join from the next season.
