Meet Y. Vamshi, our first Grama Sarathi
The first Grama Sarathi of MahathaRise works across our pilot villages, beside every farmer, from preparing the land to the harvest.

A Grama Sarathi is not an officer from the city. He or she is one of the village's own: from a farming family, trained in agriculture, and working in the villages they call home. Y. Vamshi is the first.
A season beside the farmer
Vamshi works across our pilot villages through the whole season. He handles the tasks MahathaRise takes on for its farmers, so they do not have to run after anyone, and he records every stage of the crop on his field tablet.
